Volunteer Roles to fill!
In order for Girls Rock 2023 to be a huge success, we need volunteers! This is a GREAT way to fulfill your Fury Volunteer bond - 2 three hour shifts will cover this season's volunteer requirements!
The majority of the volunteer roles will occur on the weekend of May 26-28th at the actual tournament but there are a number of key roles that handle the pre-work - starting pretty quick.
The ‘bigger’ roles that need to be filled include:
Volunteer Coordinator - this person determines the number of volunteers needed at the various ‘stations’ at the tournament, schedules the volunteers, communicates with them, handles no shows, makes quick decisions, tracks who does what. Last year we used Sign Up Genius which worked great. This is a big role as you are dealing with a lot of different people and moving parts over 3-4 days.
Raffle/Silent Auction/50-50 Coordinator - this person works with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure we have people to sell the tickets and man the raffle table at the tournament. Also keeps track of all tickets sold, all money that comes in, applies for the licence with AGLC and then submits financial report after the event (I did it all last year so can help with this - pretty easy now that we have one tournament under our belt!). Lots of record keeping and handling money. Also handles getting donations for the raffle table (and determining if we are going to have a Silent Auction). I would like one coordinator and then will have two or three people on the committee doing a lot of the work.
